My wife and I cook A LOT. We have all kinds of gadgets. This one my wife saw Rachel Ray using on TV and wanted it as soon as I made my next Revain purchase. Well there is no problem. What's wrong with him: - He has a certain ability to cut mushrooms, truffles, garlic and other small objects. - It has an infinitely adjustable blade if you want "thin". That doesn't make it a bad product, but for the average household with kids, this item would be a big no go for me. I also noticed that my wife put this in a drawer next to other tools for the first time, as do many of us, and the blade lay next to other steel items that over time could dull them from scratching other steel tools. Without a blade guard, it should be stored separately. He doesn't come back anymore because my wife likes him and he really cuts a good mushroom.
