EDIT: According to the manufacturer's description, it is made of iron wire and birds can get heavy metal poisoning from the iron. It says it's safe immediately after, which unfortunately isn't true. The tassels are also an unnecessary part of the rope that can result in your bird's toes or feet getting caught in it, which can result in injury or death if they cannot disengage. Long ropes are dangerous for birds. It's easy to do without. I cut them myself but it looks ugly. It's strong and resilient, for the price it's ok.
