Review on Wedgey Egg Slicer by Joie by Raquel Jackson

I ordered this to replace my old cool egg slicer. I think I'm particularly strict with them because they always manage to break a wire or two. It's really cute and serves its purpose. I was cutting bananas to make banana chips the other day and it occurred to me that this slicer might work. This worked great until I cut off a piece of banana that was too long for the cut surface and put the lid on anyway. I ended up ripping out the wire (or in this case it looks like the cutting blades are nylon cords). I attribute this to user error. I've had no trouble using it to cut eggs. I've had no problem with decently sized banana slices either, but I don't recommend such unauthorized guerrilla cutting. Maybe in the future I'll get a real slice of banana.
