I needed a bowl with lots of slots to stop my cat from scarfing her food and then barfing. This bowl fits the bill but it took her about a week to truly figure out how to get the food pieces out of the middle slots because they are a tight fit! Larger kibble definitely wont fit in this bowl. Its small and only holds about half a cup if that. It has slowed her eating so it does help. I have large fingers so washing it with a wash cloth is a pain but doable. I wish the bowl was made of a heavier materiel or had better grips on the bottom. The cats have to work hard to get the food out which results in them sliding the bowl all over the table. Putting a towel under it helps some but it still slides around because its very lightweight.
