Of course the hub works - I've had it on my home network for a year now. Low-bandwidth browsing and streaming are great for this tiny box. But remember that if you overload the LAN channel - for example with FTP broadcasting or things like NetMeeting - you will see collisions. TONS of collisions. The small red LED always lights up. Paying $50 a month for a 300 kbps @home cable connection and seeing a drastic drop in transfer speeds when using a $30 hub (instead of a $60 switch) is dumb and stupid. (Note that this is a great hub - and these comments apply to EVERY hub as far as I know). I am happy with my 4 port switch, thank you very much.
