My work machine is a 2017 MBP 16 inch and I installed this stand per the instructions. The first few times I enjoyed the comfort of having the monitor at eye level when open, but after the first week I began to have balance issues: I had problems when the lid was closed and the stand was up, and then when I opened the Laptop lid started tipping over No matter what I did, close the stand and lid and reopen them in a different order. , I could not use the laptop stand and the monitor at the same time. I was finally able to get it working after reinstalling the stand, but only occasionally. For the price, I expect the stand to last forever.
