I use these for resin and the ones I received all the edges were chipped and you could see under layers of some sort of red wood so its not all birch. If you are painting over it, that doesn't really matter. But I do beach landscapes on them and the parts where I pour clear resin you can see the wood and this wood was super poor quality and chipped.
