I use these for resin and the ones I received all the edges were chipped and you could see under layers of some sort of red wood so its not all birch. If you are painting over it, that doesn't really matter. But I do beach landscapes on them and the parts where I pour clear resin you can see the wood and this wood was super poor quality and chipped.

While these wood canvas are perfect for a mosiac project I did using mineral specimens I was not happy with the purchase. The top one was crushed on the side and unusable. Another one had a visible. chip in the woodI don’t know if they were poorly packaged or defective. It was not a good value since I could only use 3 of them

I ordered the 4 Pak - super value 3/4" - 12x12 inch panels. What I received was, 3 Pak -super value 1-1/2" - 12x12 panels. I will keep these, because I needed to do a project and have no time to send back. Hopefully, any future orders will be of what I ordered.

I have to say these were a little pricey, they are well made and look great! So they were worth it! *** My only suggestion would be the stock for the frame be about .5" thinner I think it is just too thick and makes it just too heavy (not the depth from front to back but from the inside edge)

First time I bought this pack, it was perfect. They were exactly the ones I needed and were as described. I just purchased and received my second order and they are 9”x12” boards, not the 10”x10” as described. I’ll still use them, but now i have reservations about ordering this item again.

I love this product, works well for mix media. However I was not sent the right item. I ordered the 12x12 4 pack 3/4 depth. I received the 12x12 3 pack 1 1/2 depth. Which is cheaper, and the wrong depth and quantity for me.

Other commenters said the same thing. The top side of the boards were not firmly attached. The glue had lifted and you could see they were barely constructed to stay together. Revain should not really even be carrying these boards since these kinds of comments have shown up for a long time.

I have tried the more expensive birch panel art boards which are more expensive and see no difference. Will order again.

These panels are ok, but plan on doing some sanding on them. The sides and top are not the baby butt smooth surface you get with other brands. For the price, I'll sand a little.

3 out of the 6 panels are not exact size. I printed 8x8 prints to put on these and some edges are barley too big, others are 1/8 inch off. Luckily my husband had the tools I could quickly trim them or I would have returned them.

The materials and construction seem great. The grade of plywood on the face is excellent and framing is great. But one of 4 the panel was 1/16 undersize in one corner and on one a layer of the plywood is cracked and delaminating on just the back. Overall they’re pretty good and I expect to use all 4. But the little flaws seem like an odd combination with the excellent overall materials and workmanship.

I do a lot of art on wood panels and would match these up to similar brand name panels minus the cost. These are very affordable.

As a acrylic and resin artist, I’m always looking for high quality wood to create my pieces on. These had the perfect weight to create my custom pieces on. I’ve bought a lot of various types of wood in the past and these by far are in my top 2. Great quality for a great price.

They are okay. They tend to chip on the edges and bubble with paint. I did prime the wood and between each coat still bubbled up, and I didnt use thick layers and waited 3hr between each coat.

I've ordered these panels several times, and I will continue to reorder when needed. I mount abstract artwork on the panels. A quality product and a great value.

I ordered these for a commission art piece. While spraying the sides black I noticed some peeling of the top layer of wood. Not good. As I sanded it, more and more of the thin top layer of plywood came up.This is a photo of the areas where the wood was peeling off. Entire strips easily came off. I ended up easily peeling the entire layer of plywood off. Underneath is some kind of hardboard.This issue renders these panels unusable for any kind of art intended for sale. Very disappointing.

Many other reviewers mentioned how different even a set of five panels could be, and they were right. After sanding them all down, some absorbed stain like a sponge, others, I had to do multiple passes to get the same result. I would not recommend using this for direct-to-surface art, if you're planning on making a set. Not good for that. For that alone, I'm knocking off a star. Product came in an oversized box without protection so there were multiple dents & chips. Wood veneer is paper thin and poorly attached, peeled off with light sanding. Uneven surfaces. Excess glue everywhere. Attempted to sand the gobs of glue off the sides of one of them and found out the glue was caked on to cover up gouges in the wood. Highly disappointed.

I have been using the boards for mixed media/collage- they have a nice finish-can add texture if you want some of the wood grain to show through-surface is smooth, overall very pleased with these
