It was a pleasure to find these glasses! They are made by the same glass company that made the glasses I bought years ago as part of an overpriced vegetable fermentation kit. My existing lids, locks and weights fit these jars and these jars fit in the fridge with ease. I know from experience that glasses are durable and easy to clean. The gallon size is great for fermenting and/or storing sauerkraut. Recommended. The glasses were packed in double boxes with corrugated cardboard dividers and were therefore in perfect condition.
