Review on Mishimoto MMTS FIST 14 Fiesta Racing Thermostat by Michael Mendoza

thermostat 160 degrees

thermostat 160 degrees fiesta st. So I had problems with my machine overheating. I installed an oil cooler and it took a little longer to overheat, but it was still an issue. I wanted to install a new radiator, but I didn't have enough money. So I installed it. The overheating issue seems to be resolved for now. I haven't driven through the gorges yet, but the temperatures are definitely staying cooler. Almost low enough that I'm worried about overcooling the car. The oil temperature rarely exceeds 190 degrees. I read that the oil temperature has to reach 212 degrees to vaporize the accumulated water and what not. So it may have a negative impact on overall engine life, but at least I'm not overheating. If you have a Fiesta ST, get a monotonous radiator first. If overheating is still a problem get a Mishimoto oil cooler kit, if the problem persists get a 160 or 180 degree thermostat. 180 is most recommended. The installation took about 2 hours. Installation instructions are located at Fiesta St Fourm. I was offered €350 for the installation in the shop. Much luck!
