Upgrades. I just rode the Iron Horse Trail in State Park, starting in Washington's North Bend. These tires seem to be made specifically for such densely packed gravel. Never slip, never flinch. Ideal for gentle climbs. Excellent tracking at a decent level. I hit 40km/h a couple of times and these tires grip like I'm on tarmac. For those who want a direct, simple rating, here it is: They're good on tarmac, good on gravel, good on grass, good on hard dirt. So-so in the soft mud. Bad in the mud. Now for the details if that's your thing. They replaced the factory Espoir Custom tires with 60 TPI 30mm wire bead on my Custom Deviation. The Panaracers are just as quick on the pavement as the factory tires, but they ride much smoother, even at the 70psi I've been running on both. They squirm a little in slow tight corners and buzz a little at speed. I've had good luck with gravel and dirt roads, even if they're left at 70psi I'm sure they'll get even better with a little more air. Dirt is useless, they clog up immediately and you just have to slip off a bit. Overall very happy with it. Time will tell how long it will last.
