Light, plush, but respectable.

I've ridden my Gravel Kings set about 300 miles, most of the time riding limestone trails and some singletrack. . Initially I was very impressed with how light they are and how well they roll. Traction is plentiful on any terrain I have ridden. I wasn't impressed with the puncture resistance. I've had 2 flat tires in the short time I've had them and the one I had last night had the rear wheel removed. A puncture can happen at any time, but I expect a better performance from a gravel tire. The…

Despite the description, I received neither a ski nor an asterisk. ;-)

I took a risk and this time it paid off. I got what I was hoping for, Gravelking SK 700 x 38 TLC Blackwall. The only reason I actually ordered these is because the questions and previous review provided enough information to lead me to believe that this is exactly the product I was looking for and the 38mm size is also very difficult to obtain which means I was desperate. They actually arrived on the 2nd day! All too often these days, shippers and/or Revain stretch the definition of "Day 2” to…

Very good tires on rubber

I really liked these tires after my first ride (only 44 miles, 56 of which were in packed dirt, gravel, the rest tarmac). The tire performed well on all of these surfaces. It was quick on pavement, had good traction in packed dirt with some loose sand on it, and even in the small areas I found in mud, broken pavement and loose gravel I felt a definite improvement in traction and cornering versus the Kenda tire. and fort. They used to be on my bike. Regarding the installation - a bit difficult…

Extremely difficult setup but looks great and feels comfortable to ride

These tires were purchased for a bike that did not fit the larger tires and fitted to DT-Swiss wheels. These were the most insanely difficult tires to mount. It took a lot of patience and persistent stretching. I have the exact same wheels on another bike - I put two different sets of Specialized tubeless tires on these wheels and hand inflated them with no effort. When I first got on the tubeless Gravel Kings, they weren't even patched. I had to fight them to get the tubes in, fill them up…

Great all round tire

Upgrades. I just rode the Iron Horse Trail in State Park, starting in Washington's North Bend. These tires seem to be made specifically for such densely packed gravel. Never slip, never flinch. Ideal for gentle climbs. Excellent tracking at a decent level. I hit 40km/h a couple of times and these tires grip like I'm on tarmac. For those who want a direct, simple rating, here it is: They're good on tarmac, good on gravel, good on grass, good on hard dirt. So-so in the soft mud. Bad in the mud…

Quiet operation, low vibration and excellent traction on all types of gravel

These tires are another example of how gravel conditions have changed rapidly in recent years. - She crashed on an 80+ mile ride consisting of pavement, grass clipping path, crushed limestone gravel and dirt. Pros: Copes with pavement fairly well with minimal tire roar and vibration. Quiet on gravel. - I had to keep looking at the display to see how fast I was going. Low vibration, not present on hard surfaces. Minimal rolling resistance. Tread pattern sheds mud just the way you want it. The…

Much better than I expected

I prefer gravel tires with a lot more tread. I don't race, but I do a lot of trails, cross-country and a lot of asphalt. I probably drive about 2000 miles a year on my tires. This is the first time I've ridden anything with an all-gravel tread pattern and I'm very happy with it. They offer extremely low rolling resistance. They go fast and they feel great. I've only ridden it a handful of times, but I've ridden it through mud, snow, chunks of ice, gravel and pavement and am very impressed…
