not bad for the money. I have some 26 and 28 gauge wires to prepare for soldering. The first pair of these wires broke then I loosened the tensioner and it worked fine. That's barely enough for 28 gauge. In this caliber you really want to have made something that wasn't a stamped and named tool, but much more precise in its movement. From a size over 26 it works great and has a well placed sharp cutting blade.
