Review on Set of 3 T-Handle T-Type Tap Wrenches with Solid Collet Jaws by Dustin Keller

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just great for what they were designed for.

Note that these wrenches are not designed for heavy use (small, flimsy handles are the first sign). If you're looking for something you can really apply a lot of torque to, get a bigger, stronger wrench. I have them to keep handy on my workbench for light tapping (maybe up to 3/8" stuff) and reaming holes and they are perfect for that. I put several taps and reamers in each one and they seem reliable enough to use with bare hands. The knurling makes it easier to tighten/loosen the collet. If you want to go deeper into larger material or deeper into material, you'll need another tool besides your hand to apply enough torque , which is beyond what these tools are designed for, tightening bolts or cutting a deep thread in hard material, choose the right tool, they can be prone to rusting if left unattended in humid climates for long periods, but think remember you're not paying for high-strength, rust-resistant steel special coating ($11) If you only use it once a year or so, wipe down just wipe them down with an oiled rag and store them in a ziplock bag and they'll be fine.

Pros
  • Made in India.
Cons
  • Crumpled
