Make sure you work in an organized space.
Very simple, insert the chain into the slot, hold the black handle, twist the top with two black ends like a vise. The little pin will come out and push the pin out of the chain, and voila, your chain is open. Then you press as many links as you need, append the main link and you're done! Just make sure you are in a place where you can keep track of where the parts/details are going. I've lost the needle forever. But that's my fault, not the tools. Fiction!
