I think we are for display only and not for actual use on food. As soon as they are washed, the coating on them will begin to wash off, causing "ink spatter" every time they are even touched. They are essentially non-functional. I had to throw them away less than a week after I had them. I won't even return them. They were definitely a waste of money. -nsf
