This one is made of stainless steel. You'll feel the weight difference compared to other brass or aluminum valve stem caps. Just a warning about other aluminum and brass caps (and possibly some plastic caps). My father-in-law gave us one made of aluminum, the same color as the body of my wife's car. It looked good so I replaced the cap with her. After two winter seasons (I live in Colorado) all tire pressure sensors started to fail. It was an older car with an earlier generation of TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), which may be why. However, I noticed that these secondary caps were cracking and trapping moisture in the valve and corroding the TPMS system with it. I've had this cover for three winter seasons and just took it off to put on a newly rented car. No corrosion, no cracks, no abrasion. In short, make this one out of stainless steel, not others (some are cheap, but others are just as expensive) other metals or hard plastics that can crack, seize, or corrode.
