It does exactly what it advertises. Performance configurations, not just one. This review is about the one that converts AC to 24 volts DC. It makes no noise when it's working, and there's no fan either. I believe the comments mentioning noise and fans are from people who have bought higher wattage PSUs. This supplies 24VDC, 2A, 50W. (Note: the product description says 48W, but the unit I received is labeled 50W.) No fans, no noise, just power conversion and not a single sound. I'll also add that the one I received (and I'm including a picture for illustration purposes) has an extra piece of clear plastic that snaps over the power connectors. It also has a built in miniature green LED to let you know when it's working and a very thin fuse to protect the circuitry soldered directly to the board.
