Considering most cars these days (1990+ years) have lots of little things that can go wrong and any kind of board have brains. Not many can work on their machines like they used to. When your car breaks down, you either have to take it to a shop or pay a lot of money to have a mechanic tell you what's wrong with the car. Or spend a lot of time and money swapping everything out hoping to figure out what's wrong. With this scanner, my husband can connect to a car's onboard brain with onboard brain and the car will tell him where it hurts like a mechanic. If it's something that can be easily fixed at home, we can just buy the parts and save some extra money on the labor. Otherwise, if it's better if the mechanic fixes it, we can take the car and tell the mechanic what to work on. Save extra money and time connecting to the integrated brain to diagnose the problem. This is the biggest purchase I've ever made.
