Review on πŸ”§ Durable and Efficient: DEWALT DW22962 1-1/8-Inch IMPACT READY Deep Socket for 1/2-Inch Drive by Kevin Woods

Revainrating 5 out of 5

HERE ARE THE FACTS about this DEWALT 1 1/8 socket.

I'm sure there are many amateur mechanics out there who have to service their equipment or pay exorbitant sums of money to have someone else do it. I prefer to do it myself if possible. But without the right tools for the job, you're wasting your time. Most standard socket sets end in 7/8 or 15/16. Like most wrench sets, they end up only being an inch long. My dad's tractor had a bolt that required a 1 1/8 socket to change blades. I didn't have a head to match, so I used a large wrench and a two foot long pipe as a rod. Needless to say, the awkward angle and trying to keep everything in a stable position made the job a lot harder than it needed to be. Well, never again. I ordered this DEWALT attachment because I have other DEWALT tools and they are great tools. Dewalt tools last longer than any other. Great quality (and still works after years of use). There were other outlets that were cheaper, but reviewers complained about the thin walls and other shortcomings. So I spent a few bucks more and got this outlet and I can tell you it's thick walled and very heavy. It's built to work hard (hammer drills need to be strong) without worrying about breaking your head. I bought a 25" 1/2" cheat rod for this. Wow. From now on, THIS job will be easier than ever! The right tool for the job. This powerful socket is made for big, heavy things. Very satisfied. Don't waste your money on chrome vanadium crap. JUST A CONFIGURATION OF THE FACTS.
