"Love " is a very strong term for an impact wrench

"Love" is an extremely strong term for an impact wrench, but I have great respect for this 1 1/8" DeWalt socket. worked very well for mine limited needs.

Pros
  • Excellent Construction
Cons
  • Volume

This socket was still used to install the bracket.

This base has previously been used to install 100+ ft-lb mounting bolts on at least 20 tripac units. Can't believe I haven't broken it yet, but for the price, it's a professional outlet. Didn't even buckle under the blows. My grip is too good, but that was to be expected

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Blank

2 broke in less than a year.

I bought it back for my husband before Christmas, the first one broke after a few months and Amazon kindly replaced it for free. It broke for the second time. I just hope I get my money back, there is no reason why 2 of them should break exactly the same in less than 9 months of use.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great for removing nut caps from my truck

My truck has dummy steel wheels. I didn't have anything big enough and deep enough to remove the special closed secondary nuts that hold the ledges in place. It worked. It's nice and strong and works well with my impact wrench or my big brake rods (stupid tire shop tightened them VERY tight).

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Big and bulky

HERE ARE THE FACTS about this DEWALT 1 1/8 socket.

I'm sure there are many amateur mechanics out there who have to service their gear or pay exorbitant money to have someone else do it. I prefer to do it myself if possible. But without the right tools for the job, you're wasting your time. Most standard socket sets end in 7/8 or 15/16. Like most wrench sets, they end up only being an inch long. My dad's tractor had a bolt that required a 1 1/8 socket to change blades. I didn't have a head to match, so I used a large wrench and a two foot long…
