This product appears to be well made and durable. It doesn't come with mounting hardware, so we had to buy gaskets, screws, and washers to install it. Mounted on a pontoon boat. It works well but without the top handle it's still very difficult to get into the boat. We are adults in good shape, well muscled and still having trouble getting on the boat with those ladders! We made the top handle with a rope. If your boat already has some sort of handle, this ladder will work just fine. If you don't have a handle I would suggest looking for a ladder with a handle.
