Works well, folds easily.

A bit light for a 290 lb guy, but not broken. Installed on a pontoon boat and works very well. Stays folded while cruising and long enough to get out of the water on the back of a pontoon boat. While I don't have to use it often, it's nice to have and I would recommend it for pontoon boats.

Boat Ladder with Steps

This ladder is designed to replace the two step ladder currently installed on the boat. The boat is in the water during the summer season, the 3-step ladder will be installed within 6 months when the boat is out of the water and serviced. I installed the ladder, installation was easy and looks great. , look at the photo.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Requires Base

The girls liked to get on and off.

I needed a step for my flat bottom jet ski and decided to try this before buying the more expensive step. I don't regret this purchase at all. I used 1/4" screws for the install. The girls liked that getting in and out of the lake was easier. It holds my 230 lb frame with no problem. like a drunk sea lion trying to climb on slippery ones jumping rocks.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Hard to say

The perfect ladder if it fits your boat!

My father and I were amazed at the quality of these ladders for the price! It's very strong against the walls, heavy duty and would have been perfect, but our boat didn't have the space (width) to mount it on the transom/deck. I would say the 3 step option is perfect for perch or boats with a platform outside the transom. I had a hard time deciding if it was a 3 strand or a 4 step and the 3 step length was just right for our aluminum perch boat.

Works well; It's still difficult to get on a boat without a handle

This product appears to be well made and durable. It doesn't come with mounting hardware, so we had to buy gaskets, screws, and washers to install it. Mounted on a pontoon boat. It works well but without the top handle it's still very difficult to get into the boat. We are adults in good shape, well muscled and still having trouble getting on the boat with those ladders! We made the top handle with a rope. If your boat already has some sort of handle, this ladder will work just fine. If you…

VERY happy to find this!

No longer afraid to go into the water. I installed this ladder on the very small short ladder that came with my Bayliner boat. It's easy to get out of the water. It was easy to install (I'm 54). I've been looking for a ladder to install on the back step for years as the ladder on the boat was so short that you had to elevate your legs overhead and pull yourself out of the water. No longer! This ladder is long enough that you can just put your foot down and get straight into the boat. This is…

In general I am satisfied with this product

Overall I am satisfied with this product. It arrived quickly and the staircase itself is as described and looks well made. I removed 1 star because nowhere in the description was it clearly stated that it didn't come with any mounting hardware or even basic instructions with recommended hardware. I searched the comments and found what others are using and I bought the same one. I just hope that the overall length of the 1/4" 1 1/2" screws I purchased were long enough to hold them on my boat's…

Okay just wish it came with hardware

The ladder arrived quickly which is good there was no ladder hardware which is bad. Haven't been able to install it yet but the layout looked good on my 17 foot perch boat and small enough to fold up and still let me into the storage areas. Overall it looks pretty damn good and for the price it's not that bad. I had to put a piece of aluminum under the stern of my boat, fiberglass alone wouldn't hold up a big guy like me. Pretty easy how to install it. can be folded up when not in use. On a…
