I recently ripped off another set of auxiliary lights on my BMW R1200GS Adventure. 7th set in 12 years (rather rural than highway miles). So instead of buying another set of expensive headlights from BMW I decided to upgrade to LED and it was difficult to find a reasonably priced set of headlights that would mount to the bracket of an additional BMW lamp. Those hood mounts worked really great. I took them apart, drilled holes for the BMW carrier screw to attach an extra light and screwed on a set of inexpensive bright AF LEDs (if someone like me is looking for an alternative, this works great)
