I bought this for my old car. My engine light does not come on. I replaced the oxygen sensor and speed sensor by clearing the pop up codes from my mechanic. The problem was that the light was still on. I needed to check it to update my tag so I bought this inexpensive OBD scanner. It works, but the secret is finding an Android app that connects to it. I've tried all the suggested apps but no luck. I started installing app after app but eventually found one that worked. This app is called "Car Scanner". If nothing helps, try this one. The same code keeps popping up and I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars to fix it. The problem is the check engine light stays on and the problem is fixed and that's okay because this old car never needs to be checked again. and it doesn't make me go crazy looking at it.
