I had shoulder replacement and knee replacement surgeries. These gel packs made life so much easier for my wife who was my caretaker during recovery. They lay flat which makes them easy to store in freezer. Even after frozen they are easy to bend and mold around both shoulder and knee which is great for hitting sits where pain is strongest. We purchased two so that one was always ready to go. They do freeze up quickly.If you know someone going in for a joint replacement surgery these make good gifts. I have purchased one for two different friends and they both purchased additional ones.Highly recommend you purchase prior to joint replacement surgery.
