Review on Optimal Growth and Breeding Formula: Pangea Gecko Diet Unleashed by Caroline Saunders

I bought ZooMed powder food from the pet store and tried to feed it while my Pangea food was being shipped. ZooMed was fine and she licked it a bit before losing interest. This is not uncommon for a baby/juvenile gecko and I used this as a starting point to try other foods. If she eats it at all, it's a win. When Pangea Growth and Breeding arrived I mixed it up in a slightly thicker, softer consistency and she bit into it. She definitely went into this meal with a little more energy. From what I've read, most hatchlings and young reptiles require a higher percentage of healthy proteins during these younger life stages, so I'll stick with fruit and insect mixes. ), but haven't tried it yet. Some other reviews mentioned drainage issues or bad smell. My bag has an expiry date of 2020. I cannot speak on the matter. And the funny smell may be due to the added vitamins and minerals. I recognized the faint smell that reminded me of chewable vitamins or multivitamin pills, which makes sense because this diet powder is packed full of added vitamins and minerals! I can assure you that doesn't make this diet any less tempting for my gecko, she clearly likes the taste and isn't put off by the slight smell of the vitamins. Hope that helps!
