Review on WiFi router TP-LINK Archer AX73, black by Somsak Pasalae ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value for the money, definitely recommended!

Regarding the settings, I set it like this: Smart connect disabled Airtime Fairness enabled 2.4GHz: Channel width 40 MHz (it seemed to me the speed is higher than at 20 MHz) Channel 11 (at a frequency of 40 this is the maximum possible). As for the channel, it is better to analyze the WiFi Analyzer at the receiving point (green icon) and select a free one. No available, choose a car Security: WPA/WPA2 Personal, WPA/WPA2-PSK version 5 GHz: The channel width is 160 MHz, again, the speed is higher than, for example, 80, any free (36,42,44,48), as far as I understand with this width, this is not so important, although I read that support recommends 36 tp-link as the main one, if auto buggy, Security: WPA / WPA2-Personal, WPA2-PSK version (again, it is recommended to choose wpa2 / wpa3, but not all devices can see this) This router can be recommended to those who cannot live without Wi-Fi, for example, with thick walls and poor breakdown. And also who has a smart TV, or an android set-top box, and probably a laptop . With thick walls, you can recommend Wi-Fi TV set-top boxes to catch from 2.4 GHz (if neighboring routers do not clog the air much) for greater signal stability. Of the alternatives and cheaper, I would recommend tenda ac21, the only thing is to clarify how it has iptv support, there were reviews that there were problems somewhere .

Pros
  • Beats 5 GHz throughout the apartment with almost no loss . The speed of Wi-Fi at 5 GHz increased to 63 Mbps, with a provider speed of 100 Mbps. On wifi6 devices even higher. I compared the router in the same apartment with keenetic Air (kn 1611), where keenetic fell to 0 at 5 GHz, tp-link ax73 has 3 divisions, a very good result . At 2.4 GHz, approximately the same speed and power .
Cons
  • Initial setup if there is no computer, current through the tether application. Initially, the router does not see 19220228.0.1, after installation and configuration through the application everything is OK, you can go through 19220228. 0.1. I haven’t dared to ate either, the out-of-the-box version works great.
