This is the aftermarket version which is closest to the original tensioner. It actually looks like someone did this casting using the original casting as a template. Many uncritical details appear to be the same. Also, this one is a little bigger, as if the process makes it a little thicker all over. However, compared to the original, the holes still seem to fit, but things like the flat surfaces on the cast hex heads are too large and won't work properly. They had to be sanded down to size during finishing. Unlike the smaller stock gates (also available from Revain), the stocks appear to be almost identical except they lack the identification and batch information that the OEM has, showing that the OEM cares about them. such things. Again, unlike the gate, the hydraulic component/damper looks identical to the OEM. Below is a picture with all three versions of this tensioner/dampener for comparison. Oddly enough, while aftermarket tensioners have been known to shear off the mounting bolt, this one still came with an 8.8 grade bolt rather than the larger 10.9 bolt I see on others. Of course, just because the screws are marked 10.9 doesn't mean they are. I would buy a famous stepped bolt or use a real Honda bolt if you can. It's frustrating when those broken bolts get stuck in the side of a transversely mounted engine when they break. You don't want to be in this camp. I used this in combination with the non-rotating parts of my original to set up a working solution that was as close to the original as possible. The problems reported by Odyclub and the pilots made me pay special attention to this repair. Much luck.
