Good product. suitable for belts, hoses and pulleys

Good product. So far, so good. Perfect fit for my '06 Honda Pilot 3.5 front wheel drive. The tension must be pulled slowly. Because of the hydraulics.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Weak cast body, not standard. Nut size

I started to push the lever to turn it to put the belt, the case nut was broken. I had to purchase a T50 tox tip to remove the bearings to use the original cast body. Also both nuts will not fit a 19mm metric head so I had to grind it with a file first. Please refund my money or send me a new one.

SAE Non-Metric in Belts, Hoses & Pulleys

If you want a tensioner with metric bolts, don't buy this tensioner. Yes it works, but it's a little annoying when your entire car is metric except for that tensioner. I installed this tensioner a few months ago and it's already broken. I've worked on my machine a few times over the past few months (several attempts to replace the harmonic balancer and oscillator). Unfortunately, the clamping screw broke on my last attempt. It's a known risk if you handle these things too roughly, so it's hard…

Pros
  • Easy to Read Control Panel
Cons
  • Repair

This is the aftermarket version which is closest to the original tensioner. It actually looks like someone did this casting using the original casting as a template. Many uncritical details appear to be the same. Also, this one is a little bigger, as if the process makes it a little thicker all over. However, compared to the original, the holes still seem to fit, but things like the flat surfaces on the cast hex heads are too large and won't work properly. They had to be sanded down to size…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very Expensive
