Review on 💠 Turquoise 5mm Susan Bates 14-Inch Silvalume Double-End Crochet Hook by Michelle Langley

Disappointing. I expected the aluminum hook to be almost slippery and the yarn to slip easily (cotton yarn). On the other hand, the hook had a good grip and the yarn didn't slip at all. I even waxed it thinking the grip was reduced but it's still more than I can work with. Another feature of this haiuk is that it doesn't have the Susan Bates-style hook I've been accustomed to for so many decades. I think it's the "new" style Bates hook that I've seen so many other complaints about. While not as square and bulky as the Knitter's Pride Waves hook I bought, it's almost useless (to me at least), but it's still NOT the Bates hook I loved. Only the quality is gone.
