This luggage rack is very strong, but it wasn't easy to assemble. The instructions are mostly self-explanatory, but when assembling the Pivot Bracket and Bar Holder, the instructions relate to each other, which can be confusing. All the necessary equipment was there. This thing is HEAVY and no amount of shims will hold your tailgate in place the first time. This media took about 2 hours to install as we had to set it up multiple times. Drill and adjust hinges. Install tire holder, adjust, tighten hinge screws. Open tailgate, adjust, tighten hinge bolts. Install spare wheel, adjust, tighten hinge screws. Open tailgate with attached spare wheel, adjust, tighten hinge screws. We've adjusted and tightened and adjusted and tightened, and my tailgate still has very little sag, but for a couple of tinkerers, I'm fine with that. This stretcher makes no bumps or rumbles and feels very secure. Just allow some time, patience and effort during installation.
