Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Fuel Quality and Engine Performance with Mr. Funnel AF15CB Fuel Filter by Will Powers

Major Design Defects of Fuel Filters

Problem 1: Poor Design. Does not drain completely due to the plastic band at the bottom of the filter leaving about 1 pint of fuel in the funnel. You don't know if it's contaminated with water or not. You must tip it back into the original jar or throw it away. 2. Problem: the instructions imply the presence of a reservoir for collecting water. There is a gap between the inner bottom of the hopper and the outer bottom. I assumed that water was collecting there. Not correct. This seat is not available. The water simply stays in the funnel without passing through the filter. But due to the first problem mentioned above, it is not possible to know if the remaining liquid is liquid, fuel or a mixture. Problem 3: The narrow section below the filter is too short to reach and fit into most filler holes. So you need to pair it with a longer and thinner funnel and be able to connect them to each other and to the body of the device so you can either pump with your hands or pour from the source. Because the flow is slower than most spouts or pump nozzles (slow is normal when it comes to filtration), you will need to manipulate nozzle or source glasses, funnels, and pump handles (depending on your facility). It's much easier together, which is rather unusual when filling up vehicles with diesel or petrol. Problem 4: Using diesel fuel mixed with a significant amount of water (ΒΌ to β…“) I had to filter into a 1 gallon clear jug and then refill through the filter THREE times before the resulting fuel showed even a small amount of contaminants. that I could then carefully pour through the filter into the fuel tank for the last time and visually capture the last of the contaminants I had thrown away. I'm not sure if this filter actually separates enough water from the fuel to be safely poured into the fuel tank.
