Review on ArmorAll Wet/Dry 12V Vacuum Cleaner: Powerful Cleaning for All Surfaces by Jero Fontaine

It sucks, but not by much.

It sucks up loose objects like dirt and sand, but won't remove road salt from carpets if it gets stuck. It is limited by the power supplied. I do notice that it has a little more ummppphhh when the engine is running, but it's still not enough to rip the battered winter dirt out of the carpet, and I wasn't expecting that either. I didn't give him fewer stars because it's not his own fault he can't really suck. Its design is limited to 12V and around 10 amps. 20 amps in some cars. Limited to 120-240W max. SO it will never compete with household vacuum cleaners that have much more power and are designed to take advantage of it. So this little guy is good for a quick clean up. And it cleaned up pretty well, although it takes lots and lots of back and forth to get everything. I'm not a fan of the folding extension. There is too much room around it to allow air into the fold and this eliminates the already limited suction into the hole. The small brush heads helped loosen the dirt, but the flexible extension made it difficult to try. I also had a hard time pulling out the part that needs to be removed to clean it. I ended up having to shake out the dirt. I chose this one because it said both "WET" and "dry" and I hope it helps when the first coffee or yogurt spills. I don't want my new car to look like an OLD "family car" with food stains. I won't test it though, I'll wait and hope I don't have to find out if it works for this or not. I would say it cleans, but it doesn't really clean. For the price, it's worth tossing in the trunk rather than sending back, but it can't do nearly the job of a household vacuum or a "workman" vacuum at a car wash.
