I live next to a copper mine and my storage tanks are full of rust. I just tried it on my well water and it had no copper, iron or calcium carbonate that I see on faucets. I believe this is an inaccurate test. I've tried 3 times to make sure I'm doing it right. I took all inorganic and organic chemistry courses at UC Santa Barbara. So this was a very simple and easy to read test. If you need to test the water, contact the appropriate testing center. I sent the kit back as it was not high in metal content.
