Cannot get hardwood data
I purchased this specifically to test the moisture content of hardwoods such as maple, mahogany and walnut used for woodworking. They're specified in the calibration settings, so it should work with that, right? no It works great on soft maple and cedar, but after a few tries, including pushing the tines in so hard I was afraid of breaking the plastic body, I couldn't read anything on anything harder. The cap also cannot be removed without prying it open with a screwdriver.
