I wouldn't call it rubbish. I work, but there are more minuses than pluses. Advantages. Less than I thought. A lightweight. Simple controls and easy to use. Good image (Gen 1) in bright moonlight or low ambient light. And requires a general size CR123A battery. The lens cap is not attached. The focus ring is very, very tight, but the diopters move too easily. The IR emitter is terrible and weak. It doesn't show a headlight or lit area like the others. Instead, it's a kind of intermittent ring light, consisting of lighter and darker rings with a dull center. The lack of a decent IR emitter makes this device almost useless at distances beyond 20 meters.
