Best Embroidery Hoop for Handquilting Borders

I bought this 10 inch embroidery hoop in December 2016 and I love it. I've been hand quilting in a circular frame for years and edges have always been a problem because the quilting along that loose edge was hard to control. Many times I had to remove the stitches and try again. The Border Hoop opens up like a clam shell at the back (where the wing nut is) and is pretty easy to use. You tuck the raw edge of the border in until it attaches securely to the webbing on the long straight side, close the "cup" and tighten the wing nut. Edmunds tires are very strong because they are thicker and the wing nuts are strong. This special border frame is an amazing invention that makes my border quilting job so much easier.

Pros
  • Rounded Edges
Cons
  • Small Parts

This is just what I needed to hold my project at the edge.
