Lathers up nicely under softened filtered shower water and cleans hair and scalp perfectly. I have fairly long thick curly wavy hair and yet a fairly small amount of this shampoo goes a long way! Spreading it between my palms, I apply it to wet, damp hair and work it in before giving the hair a quick dampening so the lather really works. From there, I massage my hair and scalp for a minute before rinsing off. My hair doesn't feel knotted, dry, washed or cut - just clean! The scent is also soft and goes perfectly with the rest of the line (either they all have the same scent or something very similar).
