Is it the equivalent of a Revelate, Apidura or Ortlieb frame bag? No way! But if you are interested in a simple bag with very good construction, thoughtful design and an incredibly good price, this is a good choice. I've never carried a frame backpack on me and didn't feel like spending $100 or more only to find it wasn't all that useful and/or might not fit my rather small frame. For $12, this one gave me something that worked really well from the first ride. Although I haven't ridden it in the rain yet, I can guarantee this bag is NOT waterproof (you can see light through the pinholes on some of the seams :-)!. However, there's nothing that a couple of zip-top bags can't pack if you're expecting heavy rain. This summer I'm planning to take this bag on a solo tour of the Pacific Coast from Seattle to San Francisco, and after that I'll add comments about the longer lifespan.
