The USB 3.0 version was slightly faster than USB-C. The USB-C version also gets warm. I tested the Ubiquiti XG-16 10Gbps switch with SFP 1/2.5/5/10GBase-T against the QNAP TS-332X. I happened to buy some Cat 8 cables. I couldn't get it to work on my XPS-15. It is simply hooked and unhooked in a loop. I tried the newer Realtek 10.45 and 10.48 drivers. After updating the drivers, it worked fine on the Ryzen system and the Beelink mini PC. It works at full data rate. My asymmetric schedule is NAS. This is similar to my 10 gigabit clients except they had a 10G entry. Unfortunately, I actually bought it for a laptop. I leave the purchase decision to you. I hope for help.
