Good price, mediocre performance

Bought a pair to test my internal ethernet. When I got close, I could never break the 2 Gbps cap, and most of the time I averaged around 1.5 Gbps on about 30 tests. The blocks did not get hot. Pretty disappointing as I'm not sure if these measurements indicate what I'm getting with real NICs. I wouldn't advise getting them and expecting full speeds. Best case (outlier): Connected to host 192.168.1.1, port 5201[4] Local port 192.168.1.2 63011 Connected to port 192.168.1.1 5201[ID] Interval…

Works Computer and accessories

Adapter works as advertised. Hassle free installation on my Windows 10 laptop. Windows automatically installed the driver and the adapter successfully negotiated 2.5Gbps both on the switch and over the long Category 5e cable in the wall to the basement. It was stable after working for several hours. So this is good news. The bad news is that Android devices usually don't have a driver for it. This doesn't work on my Samsung Tab S5 or my Pixel 3. Another bad news that isn't a product defect, the

Excellent quality! 💯

Ugreen 2.5GbE USB-C Ethernet Adapter has a very solid construction. It has a well-made brushed aluminum finish that feels solid and of good quality. I originally bought this USB-C 2.5GbE adapter for my OnePlus phone. Unfortunately, Ethernet adapter support is currently very limited on certain Android OS versions and does not work with my specific Android phone. (OnePlus 8 Pro with Oxygen OS). It works great with every other USB-C device I've tried. (MacBook Pro, Dell Latitude, etc.) I highly…

Works great, great price - only link missing LED

I don't understand why there are so many skeptics about this adapter. It worked straight away with my Catalina MacBook Pro. It automatically installed the drivers for my laptop running Windows 10. It's the same Realtek chipset as my other 2.5Gb/s USB adapters. I ran a full-throttle 30-minute stress test - sure it's getting warm but not overly hot, and I didn't feel any more extreme than other brands, although I didn't measure the actual temperature. But no bandwidth loss after 30 minutes of…

No LED status, erratic operation

This product, although it looks good, has a major design flaw. The lack of a status LED makes it very inconvenient to check what went wrong when there are connectivity and performance issues. For example, if the speed is below average, is it because the ethernet is connected to 2.5GbE from the switch/router, or is it a USB or driver issue? If you have no connection at all, is it your PC/laptop or this adapter or cable or even a router? I hate it when engineers and manufacturers try to save a…

A bit fiddly to install, but mostly it works.

The USB 3.0 version was slightly faster than USB-C. The USB-C version also gets warm. I tested the Ubiquiti XG-16 10Gbps switch with SFP 1/2.5/5/10GBase-T against the QNAP TS-332X. I happened to buy some Cat 8 cables. I couldn't get it to work on my XPS-15. It is simply hooked and unhooked in a loop. I tried the newer Realtek 10.45 and 10.48 drivers. After updating the drivers, it worked fine on the Ryzen system and the Beelink mini PC. It works at full data rate. My asymmetric schedule is NAS.

Unbeatable price

Bought 2 of these to try 2.5Gbps for the first time. They work great; I was able to achieve great file transfer speeds of up to 296MB/s. 2.5GBE limit - 312.5MB/s; Some overhead is expected, so I'm basically maximizing speed here. I'm perfectly happy with it. I'm actually considering moving to 5Gbe to get rid of that bottleneck haha. They get a little warm, but nothing like "OMG, SO HOT!" what other reviewers say. A few caveats though: 1) So I'm not using a multi-gig switcher yet. My tests were…

Works well but gets very hot for the PSU

Surpasses gigabit but not very stable or stable. It's very hot to the touch and the case actually appears to be made of aluminum for heat dissipation. Should have come with a USB-A adapter at this price point.
