Review on 🚴 Enhance Your Cycling Efficiency with SRAM Force22 Braze-On Front Derailleur by Ronnie Polk

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you have a Rival or Force group of 10, buy them NOW. You will not be disappointed.

I cannot stress enough how much better your shifting will be with this 10 speed shifter upgrade. I have a SRAM Rival 10-speed group and was constantly annoyed by the front derailleur shifter. I pretty much swapped out the entire transmission last year to try and improve the sprocket shifting. It didn't really matter to use the 10 speed derailleur. I was considering an 11-speed Force FD at the time, but decided to go with 10-speed for stability reasons. Looking back, it was a BIG MISTAKE. At 11x yaw power, I have zero friction in the small ring over the entire area of the rear cassette. The 3 largest gears rub on the big ring if I don't use a trimmer. When I adjust the gear, I don't lose myself at all - despite the slightly wider 10-speed chainring. Also with the Rival 10 spd FD I had intermittent cut offs and sometimes overload cut offs. The change was made due to the need to adjust the stop screw to the large ring for better shifting. Now shifting is very fast and precise. Actually, I am very surprised by this difference. I wish I had upgraded sooner and saved money last year changing the cassette and sprockets. It's harder to set up initially, but if you're following YouTube videos online from SRAM, GCN, or other bike shops, it's not bad at all. You won't regret it - as I didn't buy it last year when I had problems with my terrible front shift.
