Good replacement - Sport

I got this to replace my old forced yaw derailleur. It works with a 10 speed gearbox and I shift better than my old one. The good thing is that it has a chain catcher to keep your chain from falling off and digging into your frame. I like it! Installation was easy. Good value for money!

It works great for

This is an improvement over the standard FD. 10-speed or 11-speed, it works great for both. It shifts faster than the Non-Gier Force FD I had there. It looks clean and the chain catcher starts easily and looks smooth. The setting is of course not standard. However, once you follow YouTube videos, it's easy. Just forget everything you have learned in tuning so far.

Powered by a 10 speed drive train

I used this to fix my friend's Fuji road bike. The bike came with a competing SRAM 10-speed drivetrain. I had to change the derailleur as it was completely broken/bent. Anyway thought we'd try this 11x as other reviews said it might work. It really worked and now it shifts forward even better than the old 10 speed. The cute little chain guard also offers extra protection from falls and chains getting caught in the frame.

Fantastic smooth and friction free chain

Force 22 group order is awesome. It can be a bit "touchy" to get it right, but once it does, upshifting (going to the big ring) is almost silent. Sometimes I toggle, but I never really hear the switch, I just feel more resistance. I experienced chain breaks a lot more often with this derailleur than with my previous Rival derailleur. A quarter turn of the limiter can make a world of difference for this switch. This is partly just an adaptation to the Force 22 rear derailleur. I used to have…

  • The list will be long.

I cannot stress enough how much better your shifting will be with this 10 speed shifter upgrade. I have a SRAM Rival 10-speed group and was constantly annoyed by the front derailleur shifter. I pretty much swapped out the entire transmission last year to try and improve the sprocket shifting. It didn't really matter to use the 10 speed derailleur. I was considering an 11-speed Force FD at the time, but decided to go with 10-speed for stability reasons. Looking back, it was a BIG MISTAKE. At 11x
