The description shows how to tear off the plastic strip to reveal the adhesive side of the foam. With the 2 roles I have, this is not possible. The plastic strip is permanently fixed. When trying to peel it off, only a thin layer of foam tears off. I ended up attaching it with 2-sided tape. I only got these because I wanted them to be thicker than usual. If you don't need anything oversized, just grab some pre-made tape from Home Depot or Lowes. They work exactly as expected.
