At least it's the right part for this car. 1996 Honda Civic 1.6L EX. I couldn't find any mention in the repair manual of how the electric fan is controlled, other than a thermal switch. In fact, he showed it in the wrong place on the engine. If you look into the engine compartment, it's behind the valve cover on the left-hand side. Anyway, I bought this stolen car because it got hot when you were in traffic or driving through it once it was warm. The electric fan didn't turn on until around 210F and even then only ran for about 10 seconds. It should rev to around 195F and run until the temperature drops to around 185F. This replacement unit fitted perfectly and fixed my issues when I was stuck in traffic. The engine is now always at operating temperature. A little pricey but it's a quality product.
