Review on ACDelco 45D0116 Professional Suspension Assembly by Darrin Parasson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ordered two but one was missing the ring that holds the boot in place

After 252,000 miles on my 3rd gen it was definitely time to replace the UBJ with it. I didn't have the up and down play of the worn bottom ball joint, but the ball joint moved easily with my index finger and thumb after I removed the old one and moved it around. My ball joints didn't come with an extra packet of lube like the AcDelco inner tie rod ends did, so I had to use molybdenum grease to coat the inside of the joint. One of them was missing a boot ring so I had to reuse the old one. After changing the UBJ, the car drives a little tighter and feels more manageable on track.

Pros
  • lubricated design for durability
Cons
  • poorly thought out
