Cool cutting board!
One of the best Revain purchases I've ever made! Beautiful, well made and very durable. The final grain appearance is beautiful. I recommend John Boo's Block Mystery Board Oil and Cream. If you notice that the surface is a bit rough in places, just take a few pieces of sandpaper (I used 320, 400, and 600) and sand it down lightly. It will be perfectly smooth. I can't say enough about how beautifully and qualitatively the board is made. After using John Boo's oil and cream the board will darken and the texture will stand out even more.
