completely destroyed the 100ah cycle battery due to overcharging. The battery was VERY hot, the plastic was bulging and the charger was still fast charging at 15A. Customer service has not been very helpful so far, sent back over a week ago with no communication. I have tried this with other fully charged batteries with the same result on a 15A quick charge. UPDATE Schumacher will not defend its defective products. They claim that the charger did not overheat the battery. The wrecked $200 deep cycle battery had 1 and ONLY 1 charger attached. The battery was very, very hot and fully charged, but they still deny that the charger is to blame. I hope this helps someone else. BEWARE of this company! UPDATE, the company claims the charger isn't defective but can't explain why it got so hot. Either overcharging or shorting will result in heat and the battery will be at 13.2 volts after a month, eliminating the internal short. You're not paying for the $200 battery, you're replacing the charger. Working with Schumacher cost me a lot of heartache and a new 100Ah deep cycle that cost $200. I will never do business with Schumacher, their word is not good, their product is not good.
