After sitting in the driveway for months the battery in my replacement car was completely dead - my meter read less than 1 volt. This charger correctly identified what type of battery it was and reported that the battery was 100% charged after about 8 hours of charging. Car started first time, excellent charger for such a price. It can't jump start the car, but if you want it for that you'll have to spend a lot more for a good one.

I used this to charge my car battery after it ran out. I recommend reading the instructions, but they're pretty easy to use. Connect, first connect the positive pole, then the negative pole, then press the start button. The screen will show the current voltage and percent charge and should slowly increase.
